Kidemica — Privacy Policy

Kidemica (“the App”) is an educational app designed for children aged 3-10. We are committed to protecting children’s privacy to the highest standard. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

The App collects minimal personal data. We do not request a child’s full name, address, phone number, photos, or location.

a) Child profile (entered by a parent):

• The child’s nickname / first name (optional; can be a nickname like “Champ”)
• Selected avatar and mascot
• App language and country (for currency content)

b) Learning progress:

• Stars, diamonds, badges, streak, number of completed activities
• Per-module progress and daily activity/time statistics

c) Parent email (only with explicit consent):

• If a parent wants a weekly progress report, they enter their email voluntarily. Without consent, no email is collected or sent.

d) Technical data:

• Anonymous device identifier (Firebase anonymous auth), crash logs, anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which module was opened — no content or personal info), notification token.

3. How We Use Data

• To save learning progress and sync it across devices
• To improve the App (anonymous usage/crash analysis)
• To send a weekly progress report with parental consent
• To manage premium subscriptions
• To meet legal obligations

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA + GDPR-K + KVKK)

• The App is child-directed; parental control is central. Sensitive actions (parent panel, email consent) are protected by a parental gate (a math question).
• We do not collect data for behavioral advertising; ads are non-personalized.
• Communications such as the weekly email require explicit parental opt-in and can be turned off at any time.

5. Advertising

The free version may show child-appropriate, non-personalized ads via Google AdMob. Premium subscribers see no ads. No personal data about the child is shared with ad networks.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging)
• Google AdMob — free version only, non-personalized ads
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• SendGrid — weekly emails only if opted in

7. Storage & Offline

• Progress is stored both on the device (to work offline) and in the cloud.
• The App works without internet; data syncs when a connection is available.

8. Retention & Deletion

• Data is retained while the account is active.
• Deletion request: Email support@4vcore.com to request deletion of all data related to your child. Requests are honored within a reasonable time.

9. Parental Rights

• Access, correct, or request deletion of collected data
• Turn off weekly email consent at any time
• Object to data processing

10. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected on Google infrastructure. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. International Transfer

Data may be processed on Google/Firebase servers (including outside your country). By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes

This policy may be updated; significant changes will be announced in the App.
