Wiggle Think Academy Privacy Policy

Wiggle Think Academy is an educational application for children and families, developed by 4vCore. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to parents and account holders.
By using Wiggle Think Academy, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
Creating a permanent account is optional. The app can also be used with an anonymous account.
If a parent or account holder creates or connects an account, we may process:
- Email address
- Firebase user identifier
- Display name
- Sign-in provider, such as email, Google, or Apple
- Account creation and last sign-in information
We do not ask children to provide their full legal name.
Child Profile and Learning Information
The app may store information entered or generated while using educational features, including:
- Child nickname
- Selected age group
- Avatar and mascot selections
- Interests and learning preferences
- Completed activities and module progress
- Assessment results
- Rewards, stars, badges, streaks, and other in-app achievements
- App language, sound, appearance, and learning settings
This information is used to personalize learning activities, save progress, and provide parent-facing progress summaries.
Purchase and Subscription Information
Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store complete payment card information.
We may receive and process:
- Purchased product identifier
- Subscription or entitlement status
- Purchase platform
- Renewal, expiration, restoration, and cancellation status
- Anonymous or account-linked RevenueCat customer identifier
This information is used to unlock premium features and restore purchases.
Device, Diagnostics, and Usage Information
We may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the app, including:
- Device and operating system information
- App version and language
- App interactions and feature usage
- Crash reports, error logs, and performance diagnostics
- Notification delivery information and device notification token
We do not use this information for targeted advertising.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
Some pronunciation activities may request microphone and speech recognition permission. These permissions are used only when the user chooses to use a pronunciation feature.
Wiggle Think Academy does not intentionally save voice recordings to the child's profile or cloud progress record. Speech may be processed by the device's operating system or its speech recognition service according to the device settings and the privacy terms of Apple or Google.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide educational activities and age-appropriate content
- Create and manage parent and child profiles
- Save and synchronize learning progress across devices
- Personalize recommendations and learning paths
- Display achievements and parent progress summaries
- Process purchases and restore premium access
- Deliver optional reminders and service notifications
- Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
- Respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests
- Comply with legal and store policy obligations
3. Children's Privacy
Wiggle Think Academy is designed for children to use with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
We follow these principles:
- Permanent account creation and account management are intended for parents or legal guardians.
- Children are not asked to provide unnecessary personal contact information.
- The app does not provide public profiles, open chat, or direct messaging between users.
- We do not sell children's personal information.
- We do not use children's information for targeted or behavioral advertising.
- Parent-only areas and sensitive settings are protected by a parental verification step.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate parental authorization, contact us at support@4vcore.com. We will review and delete the information where required.
4. Advertising
Wiggle Think Academy does not use personal information for targeted advertising. The app does not intentionally share child profile or learning progress information with advertising networks.
If advertising practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the relevant store disclosures will be updated before that change is released.
5. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate specific parts of the app.
Google Firebase
Firebase may provide authentication, cloud database, analytics, crash reporting, and notification delivery services.
Depending on the feature used, Firebase may process account identifiers, child profile data, learning progress, device information, app interactions, crash logs, and notification tokens.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat helps manage subscriptions and in-app purchase entitlements. It may process app user identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, and purchase receipt information.
Apple and Google
Apple and Google may process sign-in, app distribution, purchases, speech recognition, notifications, and device-level permissions under their own privacy policies.
Service providers may process information only as needed to provide their services and are subject to their own legal and security obligations.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Information may be shared only:
- With service providers needed to operate the app
- When requested by the account holder
- To investigate security, fraud, or misuse
- To comply with law, regulation, court order, or valid government request
- During a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate safeguards
7. Data Storage and Security
Learning progress is primarily stored on the device. When a permanent account is used, selected account, profile, and progress information may also be stored in Firebase to support backup and synchronization.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and encrypted network connections.
No digital service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Account-linked profile and learning data is normally retained while the account remains active.
When an account deletion request is completed, the Firebase Authentication account, child profiles, learning progress, and cloud backups associated with the account are deleted, except for limited records that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial compliance purposes.
Apple, Google, and other payment providers may retain transaction records under their own legal obligations.
9. Parent and Account Holder Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of an account and associated data
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a portable copy of eligible information
- Submit a complaint to a data protection authority

We may need to verify account ownership before completing the request.
10. Account and Data Deletion
Account holders can request permanent deletion in the app:
- Open the parent area.
- Complete the parent verification step.
- Open App Settings.
- Open My Account.
- Select Delete account and data.

Deleting a Wiggle Think Academy account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.
Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the relevant store.
11. International Data Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where the user lives.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, legal requirements, or service providers change.
The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
Material changes may also be communicated through the app or store listing where appropriate.
